Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is the pure essence of anime transferred to a mobile game
Mobile games are the thing of today … it could be said. Franchises that had only been on home consoles now moved to smartphone. Of course, they are not all, but the jump of titles like Pokémon or Fire Emblem to the terrain of the smartphones gives much to talk about. Konami is perhaps hated by many people for the things it has done lately, specifically with products like Castlevania, Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid.
Among all the bad, the one that has saved it is Yu-Gi-Oh! , At least in the field of trading card game.
Of course, I have some comrades who are not so happy about the changes or bans of letters that they have to do, or the distribution of envelopes, but that’s another story.
Among all the pile of bad news related to Konami , Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links hack , a game for smartphones that is quite good, even with the limitations that may have.
It’s time for the duel!
Come on, there are a lot of people who stayed in the old Yu-Gi-Oh! Seasons , maybe the card game caught their attention , but never beyond ” nailing ” so much.
This game is ideal for those people, because it focuses on the times when the rules were not so complicated.
Forget the Synchros or the pendulums , here things are more relaxed and with fairly simple rules and tutorials that everyone can understand at first.
Duel Links has more advantages than mistakes , and we will list them briefly in this mini review.
From the outset, it is a Free to Play that at no time makes you feel ” forced ” to spend your valuable real money in micro transactions .
In addition to the above, it has a great advantage that most FTP should have: you receive rewards as soon as you start the game.
As we mentioned before, DuelLinkshack is a fairly simple experience that will not take you any time to master, and of course, get you addicted.
One of the things that I like the most is that it has original artwork by Kazuki Takahashi , so if you saw only the original series, you’ll feel right at home.
The animations of the ” emblematic letters ” of the characters are the best, very pleasing to the eye and super striking. Point for Konami.
The “ugly” and “bad” of Duel Links
The game is TOO easy , or at least, that’s what most veterans think, as the rules of the game were pretty limited .
They are practically the most basic of the card game, so you will not have to worry about alien terminology of synchros and pendulums , which will bother the most nailed.
In addition to that, the field of play only has space to place three monsters and three trap cards / magic, another point less in your favor.
From the beginning we are told that we only have Yami Yugi or Seto Kaiba to represent us, and as we go forward, we unlock more characters like Tea and Joy, they should be clearer with that, or unlock them from the beginning.
Duel Links is a very good product that was not born dead as Pokémon GO (sorry, we had to say). It feels quite complete, nimble and well planned , so you will not be disappointed.
If you are a fan of YuGi or card games, it is an option to play and recommend with your friends, as the ease of connecting with other people makes the environment very pleasant .
